The collaboration agreement with MARINTEK is realized in the framework of PRIMARY’s expansion in the field of optimization solutions for the maritime industry. MARINTEK, with headquarters in Norway and subsidiaries in the U.S.A. and Brazil, has developed vessel fleet management and routing solutions that address the specific needs of maritime organizations. In this context, PRIMARY is offering software solutions for supporting strategic and tactical decisions that maximize profit resulting from the optimal management and scheduling of a vessel fleet.
In the framework of Supply Chain Optimization solutions, PRIMARY released the new version of the INVENTORY OPTIMIZER platform. The new functionality concerns adaptive demand forecasting algorithms and advanced procedures for selecting the optimum algorithm for each SKU (Stock Keeping Unit). The INVENTORY OPTIMIZER application accurately calculates Safety Stocks and optimum Re-order Points for each product / raw material. PRIMARY performed advertisement impact analysis on behalf of Oxygen Media for a major bank in Greece. The achieved goal was the accurate estimation of the qualitative and quantitative impact of advertisement campaigns per bank services and per advertisement means with respect to overall and focused consumer behavior. The available detailed information about the timing and volume of advertising campaigns and data about observed consumer behavior was analyzed and correlation levels were calculated between all involved parameters. This enabled the design of more efficient advertisement strategies.
PRIMARY’s Optimal Workforce Planning & Scheduling and Demand Forecasting solution OPTISHIFT has been deployed successfully in Pizza Hut. The provided decision support system meets all initially set quantitative and qualitative goals. The system supports all 45 Pizza Hut restaurants in Greece providing a very efficient tool for optimum shift scheduling of more than 900 employees. PRIMARY’s Optimum Personnel Planning solution gives Pizza Hut a very competitive advantage by significantly reducing personnel-related operational costs. CNP Philippopoulos relied on PRIMARY decision support systems in order to find the optimum dimensions for the new series of protective cases for mobile phones and PDAs. The objective was to maximize the percentage of the coverage of the set of devices available in the market. Following the initial data analysis of the dimensions of available devices and the modeling of the protective cases, it was decided to apply Evolutionary Algorithms in order to find the optimum dimensions. The optimization procedure converged to the dimensions that optimize the design for the protective mobile and PDA cases that went to production. PRIMARY, implementing state-of-the-art optimization methodology, guarantees that the mobile and PDA protective cases designed and produced by CNP Philippopoulos maximize the coverage of the set of the devices available in the market.
